Geethanjali from DreamIndia got a chance to visit a mobile school in Gacchibowli run by Samyuktha foundation. DreamIndia had the chance to meet Dr Abdul Kalam at the Raj Bhavan in Chennai on the night of 24th July. Cofounder Natarajan Raman, along with seven other partner NGO representatives had an hour long meeting about various issues in the country and their possible solutions. Mr Balasubramanian, a 17 year old boy from the Virudhunagar district from Tami Nadu, has managed to score the third rank in his school final exams despite conditions of extreme poverty at home. With his mother and sisters working in the matchbox industry and with a father who is ailing, it has been really tough for this boy to get to where he has reached now. Mr. Sugumar.E, whom we at DreamIndia supported by paying his education fee, has completed his ITI-Welding course with flying colors. He has found a couple of jobs through campus placements as well. The boy has made sure that through his work his family is set free of its financial constraints. If ever there need be any proof for the power of education, this case will serve as one.
